Genre bending tunes that cross the globe and blur the boundaries between Soul, Jazz, Funk, Latin, Hip Hop, Broken Beat, House, and other left-field Electronica.

A new show for the new year and a great mix of tunes up here as well. I finish off the show this week with a new track from Mo' Horizons who Straightup are touring around the country next month.

The show starts with the latest signing to Straightup Recordings and their afro influenced instrumenatal, Break It Till It's Broken.

The show is all about the love this time round for my first show of the year, with touches of Afro beat and reggae mix it up with a bit of classic Marvin or some Shuggie Otis. A great little Brazilian throwdown with such classics as Carinhoso from Maria Bethania and Rush from Freesom Orquestra.

Jazz plays an important part in nearly every show I do and this one is no different, with a live take from Elizabeth Shephard of her tune Reversed, recorded live at BBC1 on brother Giles' show.

A classic touch on a Spinning Wheel from Shirley Bassey, All My Love Is Gone from Erich Ferstl and many more solid tracks.

All up the new year is sounding good.
