This weeks show is a very special 3PBS FM Live Week episode. Each year PBS runs a week where each show showcases a live act. That is every show on the grid for 7 days.

I was fortunate enough to get Ray Mann of the Ray Mann Three into the studio to pre-record a live solo set 35 minutes long of tracks off their latest show. Ray Mann Three are one of the rare acts in Australia that has been quickly recognised by leading international and had the finger pointed at them by the likes of Al Green to do his national tour support. As well as just finishing a national tour with Tori Amos.

This set comes with a distinct warning on the swoon factor :)

Into my show I weave a selection of live and not so live recordings, steering away from new releases for one week. The show is peppered with Australian Jazz Big Band great Daly Wilson to Donny Hathaway Live in '71. Venturing into the likes of Rick James, Matthew Herbert, Ryota Nozaki and Nat Adderley, springing into a lively close after the Ray Mann set with a great new tune from DJ Food and a final live piece from London Electricity.

I hope you enjoy this my first PBS Live Week Show.

I just realised also next week is my last show of the year as i am leaving on holidays where i shall end up at Peats Ridge Music Festival in NSW. I am playing on the 30th doing a chill set in the Chai Tent and then on NYE playing at 10pm doing the disco/boogie set in Vics Disco Tent.

Maybe see you around there.

As far as I know, I am not a robot.
